Rules & Regulations
By purchasing a ticket from Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (the “Foundation” or “Heart & Stroke”) for the Spring 2025 Heart & Stroke Lottery, the Purchaser acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules and regulations (“Rules”). “Purchaser” means a person: (i) purchasing a ticket(s) for his/her personal use; (ii) purchasing a ticket(s) on behalf of a group where the purchaser’s name and up to two additional names and/or a group name appear on all ticket(s), or (iii) purchasing a ticket(s) that is allocated to another individual or group of which the Purchaser is not a member. The Purchaser’s name shall always appear as the first name on any ticket purchased. All Purchasers are subject to these Rules. The Foundation has no obligation or liability to any person named on a ticket other than the Purchaser. The liability of the Foundation shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to allocate the prize if necessary.
Eligibility: Ticket Purchasers and any other persons named on a ticket must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets must be purchased within the province of Ontario and cannot be mailed outside of Ontario. Only tickets that have been paid and verified as paid by the respective sales deadline are eligible. The Rules prohibit the following individuals and all persons residing in the same household as these individuals from purchasing a ticket: Employees and Board Directors of the Foundation; partners and employees of the ticket fulfillment service provider and its affiliates; and employees of licensed gaming suppliers for the Lottery.
Tickets: Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order. The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible. Only one method of payment may be used per order. Tickets are only refundable prior to the draw date for which they are eligible. Official tickets will be delivered to the customer via email and/or letter mail. Where an email address is not provided, physical tickets will be mailed to the mailing address provided at the time of the order. It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that ticket(s) are received before the applicable draws commence, however, purchasers do not need physical tickets to be included in the draws. The Foundation is not responsible for orders that are not received on time or at all. Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, the total liability of the Foundation to any Purchaser shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
Up to three names may be recorded on a Lottery ticket. The Purchaser must be named on the ticket. Any requests to change the name(s) on an official ticket must be received prior to the draw date for which the ticket is eligible. For mail orders only, the change of name must be accompanied with a copy of the Purchaser’s government issued photo ID.
Draws: All prize draws for the Heart & Stroke Lottery will be conducted at the Heart & Stroke Toronto Office located at 2300 Yonge St, Suite 1200, Toronto, ON, M4P 1E4 at approx. 10:00am on each draw date. All draws will be made using Random Number Generator (RNG) software under the supervision of Miratel Solutions Inc.
Prize Claim: Prizes will be awarded to the Purchaser named on the official ticket. A copy of a government issued photo ID may be required to claim the prize. Prize(s) must be claimed no later than six months after the final draw date. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation to the Foundation will be approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”). In the event of a discrepancy, the official records of the Foundation will be deemed correct and final. By claiming a prize, the winner (i.e., successful purchaser) consents to the use of their likeness (photograph, if available), first and last name, ticket number, city or town of residence, video recording (when available only) and transcription/recording of the winner notification phone call to be used for any publicity purposes by the Foundation. Vehicle (including but not limited to boat and jet ski) winners are responsible to licence and insure the vehicle from the time of ownership. Winners may be required, at Heart & Stroke’s discretion, to sign a full & final waiver and release prior to transfer of the prize and may be required to sign a full & final waiver and release of the prize supplier.
All cash prizes are paid by cheque or electronic funds transfer in Canadian funds, at the discretion of the Foundation.
Vacation cash prizes will be paid by cheque or electronic funds transfer to the primary ticketholder for the value of the trip as described in the lottery brochure at the time of printing. The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described. There is no requirement that vacation prize funds be used towards a travel purchase. For vacation descriptions and details please visit heartandstrokelottery.ca. The Foundation retains no liability to the Purchaser should the value of the described trip increase or decrease after the time of the brochure printing or for any restrictions, actions or inactions of the prize supplier.
The Foundation is only responsible for communicating with the Purchasers and is not responsible for any prize entitlement of any other individual(s). Prizes stated are retail value with taxes, freight and applicable fees included as of the date contracts were agreed upon with suppliers and are independently verified by prize supplier, as per AGCO rules.
Privacy: We will use your personal information to administer and evaluate the Lottery, including contacting prize winners, and announcing and promoting prize winners through our public platforms. In addition, we may maintain a record and share details of your interaction and contact information for donor-related, promotional, follow-up and tax receipting communications, where applicable. Occasionally, we may contact you for fundraising purposes or to provide you with mission-related or program-related communications (including telemarketing communications made using automatic dial-announcing device technology) and in accordance with our Privacy Policy, located at www.heartandstroke.ca/privacy. This Lottery is run in compliance with the Foundation’s privacy policy, which can be found in full at www.heartandstroke.ca/privacy. Classic Lottery
The odds of winning are 1 to 2. All inquiries regarding the 1 to 2 odds of winning, conduct, prizing, and procedures of the Lottery are to be made to the Foundation prior to the order of ticket(s).
Tickets
Tickets will be available for purchase until Midnight, June 20, 2025, or while supplies last. There are 99,750 tickets printed (95,000 tickets will be sold and 4,750 to be awarded as prizes). Tickets are $100 individually, $250 for a 3-Pack, or $375 for a 5-pack.

The first draw will be for the Early Bird Prize; followed by the electronic and small prizes, Gift Cards, 2 Vacation Cash Prizes, and 5 Grand Prizes.
Prizes
All values are in $CDN. There are 40,881 prizes to be won, for a total value of $3,786,376.20 (including all taxes, fees and freight). All prizes are tax-exempt for Ontario residents and must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions may be requested except where a cash alternative option is specified. Prizes awarded may not be as illustrated. Prizes may be subject to the substitution of a prize of equivalent value and a nature to be determined at the sole discretion of the Foundation. The Foundation will not make any changes to the conduct and management of the event unless it has first received approval in writing from the AGCO.
Loyalty Prizes: There are four (4) Loyalty prizes to be awarded, each consisting of one (1) outdoor package with a value of $5,599.08 or cash out equal to $5,000.00. Each of the four (4) outdoor packages consists of: Napoleon Prestige 500 Propane Barbecue, Rockwater Designs Insta-Flex Gazebo, Modeno York Black Concrete Fire Table, Permasteel - 12” Tabletop Gas Pizza Oven, Vivere Cotton Hammock with Solid Pine Stand, and Permasteel 80 Qt. Oak Wood Style Patio Cooler.
Flash Bonus Prize: one (1) Kawasaki 2024 JET SKI STX 160LX (valued at $21,016.87).
VIP Prizes: one (1) cash prize of $50,000.00 and 4,750 prizes of one (1) free $100 Heart & Stroke Classic Lottery ticket.
Early Bird Prize: one (1) Airstream Basecamp 20X (valued at $103,144.00) or cash out equal to $100,000.00.
Grand Prizes: There are five (5) Grand Prizes. Grand Prizes 1 & 2: Cash prize of $1 million each. Grand Prize 3: Winner must choose one of the two options available: option 1, one (1) 2025 BMW X5 xDrive40i (valued at $122,705.81) or option 2, one (1) 2024 BMW M440i xDrive Cabriolet (valued at $118,956.47). Both options have a cash out equal to $110,000.00. Grand Prize 4: one (1) 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport Premium 4X4 (valued at $69,394.00) or cash out equal to $55,000.00. Grand Prize 5: one (1) 2025 Legend 21 Halo 360 Phoenix Sport Pontoon Boat with Mercury 115 ELPT Pro XS CT motor (valued at $70,791.11) or cash out equal to $50,000.00.
Vacation Prizes are awarded as cash. There are two (2) prizes. Prize 1: $10,000.00 cash, equivalent to a vacation for 2 adults and 2 children at Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Studios, Orlando. Prize 2: $10,000.00 cash, equivalent to an Eastern Caribbean Cruise on Icon of the Seas for a family of 4.
Electronics and Small Prizes: There are 991 electronics and small prizes including: two (2) 10’6″ iSUP Braddah Paddleboard (valued at $1,897.27 each), 2 Smeg Manual Espresso Maker with Bean Grinder and Milk Frother – Red (valued at $1,519.84 each), 2 Samsung 65" DU6900 Crystal UHD 4K TV (valued at $1,009.36 each), 5 AirPods Max Headphones - Starlight (valued at $925.47 each), 5 Dyson V8 Origin Cordless Stick Vacuum - Red (valued at $576.29 each), 20 Fitbit Versa 4 Fitness Tracker (valued at $306.20 each), 10 Cuisinart ICE-30WNC Frozen Yogurt-Sorbet & Ice Cream Maker (valued at $228.25 each), 945 SRS-XB100 Portable Wireless Speaker - Grey (valued at $110.73 each).
Gift Card Prizes: There are 35,126 prizes of $20 gift cards. Winners must choose between the 5 retailers available: Indigo, Winners, Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws and Home Hardware.
Draws
Winning tickets will be eligible for subsequent draws. The sequence of draws will be as follows: The first draw will be for the Loyalty Prizes. Only tickets purchased by Midnight, April 25, 2025, will qualify for the Loyalty Prize Draws. The draws (4 prizes) will take place on May 8, 2025. The second draw will be for the Flash Bonus Prize. Only tickets purchased by Midnight, May 16, 2025, will qualify for the Flash Bonus Prize Draw. The draw (1 prize) will take place on May 29, 2025. The third draw will be for the VIP Bonus Prizes. Only tickets purchased by Midnight, May 23, 2025, will qualify for the VIP Prize Draw. The draw (4,751 prizes) will take place on June 5, 2025. The fourth draw will be for the Early Bird Prize. Only tickets purchased by Midnight, June 13, 2025, will qualify for the Early Bird Prize Draw. The draw (1 prize) will take place on June 26, 2025. The last and final prize draw will be for electronics and small prizes, Gift Cards, 2 Vacation Cash Prizes and 5 Grand Prizes. Only tickets purchased by Midnight, June 20, 2025, will qualify for the Final Prize Draw (36,124 prizes). The draws will take place on June 30, 2025. (All tickets purchased prior to the Loyalty, Flash Bonus, VIP and Early Bird deadlines are eligible for the final draw.)

50/50 Lottery

Tickets
Tickets for the 50/50 Lottery are sold separately from the Classic Lottery. Tickets will be available for purchase until Midnight, June 20, 2025. The winner of the 50/50 Lottery prize will receive 50% of the total accumulated jackpot. There is a minimum guaranteed payout of $500,000.00. The total jackpot is dependent upon the gross revenue generated from 50/50 Lottery tickets sold. Tickets are $25 for a 5-Pack, $50 for a 15-Pack or $75 for a 25-Pack. The total number of 50/50 tickets available for sale is unlimited.

July Money Lottery

Tickets for the July Money Lottery are sold separately from the Classic Lottery. Tickets will be available for purchase until Midnight, June 20, 2025, or while supplies last. There are 450,000 tickets available. Tickets are $20 for a 4-pack, $50 for a 12-pack, $75 for a 20-pack, or $125 for a 35-pack.

Daily Cash Prizes: There are a total of 31 cash prizes of $10,000 each to be awarded at a rate of one per day from July 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025.
