Rules & Regulations
By purchasing a ticket from Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (the “Foundation” or “Heart & Stroke”) for the Winter 2024/2025 Heart & Stroke Lottery, the Purchaser acknowledges they have read, understood, and agreed to these rules and regulations (“Rules”). “Purchaser” means a person: (i) purchasing a ticket(s) for his/her personal use; (ii) purchasing a ticket(s) on behalf of a group where the purchaser’s name and up to two additional names and/or a group name appear on all ticket(s), or (iii) purchasing a ticket(s) that is allocated to another individual or group of which the Purchaser is not a member. The Purchaser’s name shall always appear as the first name on any ticket purchased. All Purchasers are subject to these Rules. The Foundation has no obligation or liability to any person named on a ticket other than the Purchaser. The liability of the Foundation shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to allocate the prize if necessary.
Classic Lottery
Odds of winning
The odds of winning are 1 to 2. All inquiries regarding the 1 to 2 odds of winning, conduct, prizing, and procedures of the Lottery are to be made to the Foundation prior to the order of ticket(s).
Eligibility
Ticket Purchasers and any other persons named on a ticket must be at least 18 years of age. Tickets must be purchased within the province of Ontario and cannot be mailed outside of Ontario. Only tickets that have been paid and verified as paid by the respective sales deadline are eligible. The Rules prohibit the following individuals and all persons residing in the same household as these individuals from purchasing a ticket: Employees and Board Directors of the Foundation; partners and employees of the ticket fulfillment service provider and its affiliates; and employees of licensed gaming suppliers for the Classic Lottery.
Tickets
Tickets will be available for purchase until February 14, 2025, at 11:59 pm or while supplies last. There are 141,750 tickets printed (135,000 tickets will be sold and 6,750 to be awarded as prizes). Tickets are $100 individually, $250 for a 3-Pack, or $375 for a 5-pack. Ticket numbers will be issued in sequential order. The official ticket is a receipt of purchase. Ticket purchases are not tax deductible. Only one method of payment may be used per order. Tickets are only refundable prior to the draw date for which they are eligible. Ticket purchasers should receive their e-tickets within a few minutes of placing their order. Where an email address is not provided, physical tickets will be mailed to the mailing address provided at the time of the order. Physical ticket(s) will also be mailed upon request. (Allow a minimum of 14 business days for receipt of physical ticket(s)). It is the Purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that ticket(s) are received before the applicable draws commence, however, purchasers do not need their tickets in hand to be included in the draws. The Foundation is not responsible for orders that are not received on time or at all. Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, the total liability of the Foundation to any Purchaser shall be limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
Up to three names may be recorded on a Classic Lottery ticket. The Purchaser must be named on the ticket. Any requests to change the name(s) on an official ticket must be received prior to the draw date for which the ticket is eligible. For mail orders only, the change of name must be accompanied with a copy of the Purchaser’s government issued photo ID.

Gifting
Purchaser(s) will be notified of winnings. It is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser to track distribution of ticket number(s) and allocate any winnings. Cheques will be made payable to the Purchaser. Cheques will be mailed to the address provided by the Purchaser at the time of ticket order.
Prizes
All values are in $CDN. There are 58,028 prizes to be won, for a total value of $4,565,907.71 (including all taxes, fees and freight). All prizes are tax-exempt for Ontario residents and must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions may be requested except where a cash alternative option is specified. Prizes awarded may not be as illustrated. Prizes may be subject to substitution of a prize of equivalent value and a nature to be determined at the sole discretion of the Foundation. The Foundation will not make any changes to the conduct and management of the event unless it has first received approval in writing from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”).
Loyalty Prizes: There are four (4) Loyalty prizes to be awarded, each consisting of one Samsung Entertainment package with a value of $5,216.14 or cash out equal to $5,000.00. Each of the four (4) Samsung Entertainment packages consists of: 65" QLED smart 4K TV, Q series Soundbar, Samsung Galaxy S24 256GB phone, Samsung Galaxy watch, Samsung Galaxy earbuds.
VIP Prizes: There are two (2) VIP prizes to be awarded, consisting of two prizes of $20,000.00 cash each.
Super Bonus Prizes: 1 prize of $50,000.00 cash and 6,750 prizes of one free $100 Heart & Stroke Classic Lottery ticket.
Early Bird Prize: There will be one (1) prize of a Jeep Wrangler 4-Door Sahara (valued at $83,918.86) and a Legend R-Series R15 Boat with Mercury 40 ELPT 4S motor (valued at $45,722.06). Total package valued at $129,640.92 or cash out equal to $100,000.00. Winner must choose both the Jeep Wrangler 4-Door Sahara and Legend R-Series R15 Boat with Mercury 40 ELPT 4S motor or the cash out option.
Grand Prizes: There are five (5) Grand Prizes. Grand Prizes 1 & 2: Cash prize of $1 million each. Grand Prize 3: Winner must choose one of the two options available: option 1, a F150 SuperCrew Platinum (valued at $125,585.00) or option 2, a Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4MATIC Sedan (valued at $119,399.19). Both options have a cash out equal to $100,000.00. Grand Prize 4: Legend E-Series 23 Lounge Sport Pro Black Edition Pontoon Boat with Mercury 115 ELPT Pro XS CT motor (valued at $113,487.03) or cash out equal to $80,000.00. Grand Prize 5: Cash prize of $50,000.00.
Vacation Prizes awarded as cash. There are two (2) prizes. Prize 1: $10,000.00 cash, equivalent to a vacation for 2 adults and 2 children at Dreams Macao Beach, Punta Cana (valued at $10,000.00). Prize 2: $10,000.00 cash, equivalent to a sail around Japan cruise for 2 adults (valued at $10,000.00).
Electronics and Small Prizes: There are 1,063 Small prizes including: 2 Samsung 65" 4K UHD HDR LED Tizen Smart TV (valued at $1,232.25 each), 2 HP ENVY x360 14-ES0000ca Convertible Laptop (valued at $1,622.95 each), 2 Dyson V11 Cordless Vacuum (Blue) (valued at $955.25 each), 2 Yeti Tundra 35 Cooler (White) (valued at $465.00 each), 5 Solo Stove Ranger Portable Fire Pit and Stand (valued at $631.96 each), 10 Bissell Carpet Cleaner (valued at $214.69 each), 10 Half Court Pickleball Starter Set (valued at $198.29 each), 10 Nespresso Vertuo Pop (valued at $203.39 each), 20 Kika Massage Device (valued at $124.29 each), and 1,000 Yeti Mug with Heart & Stroke etched logo (valued at $65.97 each).
Gift Card Prizes: There are 38,200 prizes of $25 gift cards. Winners must choose between the 6 retailers available: Indigo, Winners, Shoppers Drug Mart, Petro Canada, Loblaws and Home Hardware.
Mastercard Prepaid Card Prizes: There are 12,000 Mastercard Prepaid card prizes of $25 each. These prizes will be awarded as Mastercard Prepaid cards personalized in the name of the Purchaser.
Draws
All prize draws for the Heart & Stroke Classic Lottery will be conducted at the Heart & Stroke Toronto Office located at 2300 Yonge St, Suite 1200, Toronto, ON, M4P 1E4. Prizes will be drawn using Random Number Generator (RNG) software under the supervision of Miratel Solutions Inc., and winning tickets will be eligible for subsequent draws. The sequence of draws will be as follows: The first draw will be for the Loyalty Prizes. Only tickets purchased by 11:59 p.m. October 18, 2024, will qualify for the Loyalty Prize Draws. The draws (4 prizes) will take place on October 31, 2024, at approx. 10:00 a.m. The second draw will be for the VIP Prizes. Only tickets purchased by 11:59 p.m. November 15, 2024, will qualify for the VIP Prize Draw. The draw (2 prizes) will take place on November 28, 2024, at approx. 10:00 a.m. The third draw will be for the Super Bonus Prize. Only tickets purchased by 11:59pm, January 24, 2025, will qualify for the Super Bonus Prize Draw. The draw (6,751 prizes) will take place on February 6, 2025, at approx.10:00 a.m. The fourth draw will be for the Early Bird Prize. Only tickets purchased by 11:59 p.m., February 7, 2025, will qualify for the Early Bird Prize Draw. The draw (1 prize) will take place on February 20, 2025, at approx.10:00 a.m. The last and final prize draw will be for the electronics and small prizes, Gift Cards, Mastercard Prepaid cards, 2 Vacation Cash Prizes and 5 Grand Prizes. Only tickets purchased by 11:59 p.m., February 14, 2025, will qualify for the Final Prize Draw (51,270 prizes). The draws will take place on February 27, 2025, approx.10:00 a.m.* (All tickets purchased prior to the Loyalty, VIP, Super Bonus and Early Bird deadlines are eligible for the final draw.)
* If all tickets for the Classic Lottery are sold before the Early Bird Deadline (February 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.), draws for all remaining prizes will be made on February 20, 2025, at approx. 10:00 a.m. The first draw will be for the Early Bird Prize; followed by the small prizes, Gift Cards, Mastercard Prepaid cards, 2 Vacation Cash Prizes, and 5 Grand Prizes.
Prize Winner Notification
All winners (in each case, the Purchaser named on the drawn ticket) will be notified in writing within 4-6 weeks of the prize draw and major prize winners ($5,000 and greater in prize value) will also be contacted by phone on the day of the prize draw. Where an email address is not provided, winners will be notified in writing by mail within 6 weeks of the prize draw. From the first draw date on October 31, 2024, winners will be posted on the Heart & Stroke Lottery website and social media pages. A complete winners list will be available at https://order.heartandstrokelottery.ca/winners on February 28, 2025. A copy of a government issued photo ID may be required to claim prizes. Prize(s) must be claimed no later than six months after the final draw date. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation to the Foundation will be approved by the AGCO. In the event of a discrepancy, the official records of the Foundation will be deemed correct and final.
Prize Claim
Prizes will be awarded to the Purchaser named on the official ticket. A copy of a government issued photo ID may be required to claim the prize. By claiming a prize, the winner (i.e., successful purchaser) consents to the use of their likeness (photograph, if available), first and last name, ticket number, city or town of residence, video recording (when available only) and transcription/recording of the winner notification phone call to be used for any publicity purposes by the Foundation. Please allow a minimum of 6 weeks for delivery of prize from draw date. Delivery time for vehicles and boats may be longer. Vehicle and boat winners are responsible to licence and insure the vehicle from the time of ownership. Winners may be required, at Heart & Stroke’s discretion, to sign a full & final waiver and release prior to transfer of the prize and may be required to sign a full & final waiver and release of the prize supplier.
Vacation cash prizes will be paid by cheque or electronic funds transfer to the primary ticketholder for the value of the trip as described in the lottery brochure at the time of printing ($10,000 each prize). The prize winner may contact the prize supplier to make travel arrangements should they wish to take the trip as described. There is no requirement that vacation prize funds be used towards a travel purchase. For vacation descriptions and details please visit heartandstrokelottery.ca. The Foundation retains no liability to the Purchaser should the value of the described trip increase or decrease after the time of the brochure printing or for any restrictions, actions or inactions of the prize supplier.
All cash prizes are paid by cheque or electronic funds transfer in Canadian funds, at the discretion of the Foundation.
The Foundation is only responsible for communicating with the Purchasers and is not responsible for any prize entitlement of any other individual(s). Prizes stated are retail value with taxes, freight and applicable fees included as of the date contracts were agreed upon with suppliers and are independently verified by prize supplier, as per AGCO rules.
Release
The Purchaser agrees to release and hold harmless the Foundation, its affiliates and its directors, members, employees, officers, licensees, licensors and agents, and respective advertising and promotion entities and any person or entity associated with the production, judging, or administration of the Lottery (collectively, the “Releasees”) from and against any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they may have, or which may arise, against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, including but not limited to any injury, loss, damage, whether direct, compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death and damage to property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from their participation in the Lottery or their acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prizes. Each Participant acknowledges that the Releasees have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the Prizes or the Lottery. Apart from manufacturer warranties (which may not be available in all geographies), all warranties are hereby disclaimed.

50/50 Draw

There is a minimum guaranteed payout of $500,000. The total jackpot is dependent upon the gross revenue generated from 50/50 Draw tickets sold. Tickets are a 5-Pack for $25, 15-Pack for $50 or 25-Pack for $75. The total number of 50/50 tickets available for sale is unlimited.

Winners of Bonus Draw prizes ($5,000) will be posted on the Heart & Stroke Lottery website and through social media on December 24, 2024. Bonus Draw winners (in each case, the Purchaser named on a drawn ticket) will be contacted by phone on the day of the prize draw and will be notified in writing by email within 1 week of the prize draw. Where an email address is not provided, Bonus Draw winners will be notified in writing by mail within 6 weeks of the prize draw.
Beginning March 1, 2025, winners of Daily Cash ($10,000) will be posted every day on the Heart & Stroke Lottery website and through social media. Daily Cash winners (in each case, the Purchaser named on a drawn ticket) will be contacted by phone on the day for which their winning ticket was selected and will be notified in writing by email within 1 week of the day for which their winning ticket was selected. Where an email address is not provided, Daily Cash winners will be notified in writing by mail within 6 weeks of the day for which their winning ticket was selected.

Prizes will be awarded to the Purchaser named on the official ticket. A copy of a government issued photo ID may be required to claim the Prize. By claiming a prize, the winner consents to the use of their likeness (photograph, if available), first and last name, ticket number, city or town of residence, video recording and transcription/recording of the winner notification phone call to be used for any publicity purposes by the Foundation. Please allow a minimum of 6 weeks for delivery of prize from draw date. Prize(s) must be claimed no later than six months after the final draw date. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation to the Foundation will be approved by AGCO. Winners may (at Heart & Stroke’s discretion) be required to sign a full & final release prior to transfer of the prize.
All cash prizes are paid by cheque or electronic funds transfer in Canadian funds, at the discretion of the Foundation.

We will use your personal information to administer and evaluate the Lottery, including contacting, announcing and promoting Prize winners. In addition, we may maintain a record and share details of your interaction and contact information for donor-related, promotional, follow-up and tax receipting communications, where applicable. Occasionally, we may contact you for fundraising purposes or to provide you with mission-related or program-related communications (including telemarketing communications made using automatic dial-announcing device technology) and in accordance with our Privacy Policy, located at www.heartandstroke.ca/privacy.
